We will suggest and show you how to use different types of transportation such as buses or combine with Grab, Metro, water buses and long-route buses.

Steps for finding directions:

Step 1: Choose “Directions” on the home screen

Step 2: Input your starting position: the application can automatically locate you if your device allows it, or you can self-input the address where you want to start. You can also save your frequently visited places such as workplace, home or school for more convenient experiences next time.

Step 3: Input your destination: submit the place name or the address you want to travel to. If you can not find the address on the map, pin it on the map.

Step 4: Choose the maximum transits: adjust the number of transits to 1, 2 or 3. If you’re not keen on numerous transits, reduce it to meet your need.

Step 5: Manage trip settings
+ Active routes: turning on this setting means that BusMap will only suggest currently active routes and self-ignore temporarily closed or routes under construction/upgrades.
+ Ignore private/sightseeing routes: turning on this setting means that BusMap will not suggest private or sightseeing routes (whose tickets are usually more expensive).

Step 6: Choose “Find Directions”: the application will suggest directions with detailed information about route names, number of transits, prices, estimated time of traveling, starting bus station, walking distance to the bus station, estimated waiting time, and other types of transportation based on the journey properties. Choose the suggestion that fits you most and follow the app instructions.

 

Besides, you can directly use “Location Searching” on the application’s home screen. Here is the instruction:
Step 1: Choose “Location Searching” on the home screen

Step 2: Input the location you want to search: type the place name or the address you want to travel to. If you can not find the address on the map, pin it on the map

Step 3: Choose “Navigate to this place”

Step 4: Take the next steps as shown in the “Directions” feature.

Notice:
To take a look at the latest directions after getting back to the home screen, you can press the red circle in the command button named “Directions” to review the instructions given by BusMap.
